Renton takes the 737 to the MAX

On the evening of March 18, 2013, the Boeing Commercial Airplanes plant in Renton, Washington, rolled out the first 737 completed at the new production rate of 38 airplanes per month. Until the Copa Airlines Dash 800 emerged from the factory, Renton's previous monthly 737 output had not exceeded 35, achieved in January 2012. However, the tempo is set to go even higher in spring 2014, to 42 aircraft every month.
