AIRPORT SEEKS $1.68 MILLION AIP GRANT FOR AIRPORT NOISE MONITORING SYSTEM

The City of Burlington, VT, has submitted a grant application to FAA seeking100% funding for an airport noise monitoring system for Burlington InternationalAirport, Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger announced June 8.The City has asked FAA for $1.68 million to install 20 noise monitors in thecities of Burlington (the airport proprietor), South Burlington (where the airport islocated), and Winooski, which would be most affected by the F-35 jet fighters thatare now based at the airport.
