INDUSTRYASSOC. LAUNCHED TO SMOOTH INTEGRATION OF UAM INTO COMMUNITIES

On Nov. 6, a new non-profit industry association called the Community Air Mobility Initiative (CAMI) was launched to support the responsible integration of urban air mobility (UAM) – flying taxis and other new electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft – into communities through education, communication and advocacy. The goal of CAMI is to connect communities and industry by providing resources and education to the public and decision makers at the state and local level. CAMI members and subject matter experts will work with municipalities to help them establish standards for vertiports, UAM aircraft operations, security, and other issues related to the integration of UAM aircraft into the urban environment.
