Boston Logan International (BOS), the primary airport serving New England, is one of the nation's busiest, despite operating in the second smallest footprint among the top 20 major American airports. With a history that includes hosting aviation pioneers, such as Amelia Earhart and Charles Lindbergh, the airport also celebrates being named Airport of the Year by TSA in December 2018, as well as being selected by the agency as an "Innovation Airport." The latter designation means the airport is eligible to pilot new programs.
