REP. FRANK LoBIONDO TO CHAIR AVIATION PANEL

Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-N.J.) has been named chairman of the House aviation subcommittee for the 113th Congress, replacing Rep. Tom Petri (R-Wis.). LoBiondo has been a member of the subcommittee since 1997. Rep. Rick Larsen (D-Wash.) is the new top Democrat on the aviation subcommittee. He replaces Rep. Jerry Costello (D-Ill.), who retired at the end of the 112th Congress. Freshman Republican Richard Hudson (R-N.C), a former congressional staffer elected to his first term in November, was named chairman of the important House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation Security, which has oversight responsibilities for TSA.
