Rolls-Royce has revealed it will develop the Trent 1000-TEN, an advanced version of the Trent XWB. According to the manufacturer, TEN stands for Thrust, Efficiency and New technology and claims an improvement of up to 3% in specificfuel consumption compared with the Trent 1000s in service todaypowering the Dreamliners operated by launch customer, All Nippon Airways (ANA).
