SIX OF the 12 Embraer A-29B Super Tucano aircraft ordered by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have been delivered. After departing the US on July 14, they routed via Canada, Greenland and Iceland before arriving in the UK at Glasgow-Prestwick Airport, Scotland, on July 19. They continued via Zaragoza, Spain, and Algeria before finally arriving at Kano, Nigeria, on July 22. The aircraft wore US serials for the delivery flight and comprised 19-2033 (callsign 'Raven 81'), 19-2034 ('Raven 82'), 19-2036 ('Raven 83', to be NAF848)and 19-2038 ('Raven 91', to be NAF850) all in two-tone sand camouflage, plus 19-2039 ('Raven 92' to be NAF851) and 19-2040 ('Raven 93' to be NAF852) both in green-brown jungle camouflage. Dornier 328 D-CAAN accompanied them as a support aircraft. The remaining six are due before the end of October.
