Predators retired to AMARG

US AIR Force MQ-1B unmanned aerial vehicles have been going into storage in increasing numbers over the last six months following the type's formal retirement on March 9 last year - see US Air Force retires Predator remotely piloted aircraft, May 2018, p7. The Predators are being delivered to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, which accepted 62 of the type for storage between August and October last year, followed by one in December and a further ten in January. The first arrivals took place on August 20 last year, when three of the type (08-3246, 08-3240 and 07-3224) were added to the AMARG inventory.
