Watching low-level flying is probably one of the greatest aspects of military aviation for enthusiasts. Often, the next stage is being able to photograph the aircraft in action as well. The age of the digital camera has certainly helped some capture the 'ultimate image' and there's no shortage of inspiration from professionals such as Katsuhiko Tokunaga and Jamie Hunter. Author and photographer Philip Stevens not only explains some of the photographic skills needed to get a pin-sharp shot but also informs the reader of why military pilots train to fly at such low altitudes.
