Global 6000s arrive in Turkey for EW conversion

TWO BOMBARDIER Global 6000 aircraft have arrived in Turkey for an indigenous electronic warfare (EW) suite to be integrated. The bizjets will be reworked under the Remote Electronic Support/Electronic Attack Ability in Air Platform (HAVA SOJ) programme, which is being run by the Turkish Defence Industry Presidency (SSB), formerly the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries. The aircraft are now at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) facilities where they have been inspected by officials from the SSB, Aselsan, the Turk Hava Kuvvetleri (THK, Turkish Air Force) and Bombardier. The programme calls for a total of four HAVA SOJ platforms to be delivered to the Turkish Air Force by 2023.
