Boeing replaces CEO amid Max crisis

Boeing has replaced embattled chief executive officer Dennis Muilenberg with chairman David Calhoun. Muilenburg resigned from his position in mid-December, becoming the highest profile casualty of a crisis that has gripped the manufacturer since the fatal crashes of two Boeing 737 Max aircraft, in October 2018 and March 2019. Boeing said its board of directors had decided that a change in leadership was necessary to "restore confidence" in the company moving forward as it works to repair relationships with "regulators, customers and all other stakeholders".
