The latest update to The Aircraft Value Analysis Company's (AVAC) Aircraft Ratings indicates that the relative asset strength of the majority of aircraft still in production is set to decline over the next seven years, largely as a consequence of the service entry of new products. The AVAC ratings update see a drop for the A318 to D- for the CFM powered variant; the early A320s (pre 1996) have fallen to a C--; the A330-200 is now at C+ and the A340-600 is now D--. For the Boeing aircraft, the B737-300 has declined to an E and the B737-900ER with /3 engines is now a C-. The B767-300ER is reaching the end of the road in the next seven years so the rating is now only a D- while the B787-8 has fallen from a B- to a B--.
