AAA National Conference takes the airport industry to the Gold Coast

The australian Airport Association (AAA) National Conference brings the airport industry together each year to network, learn and share experiences. This year on the Gold Coast will be no different with more than 600 people expected at the five day event from Sunday 23 - Thursday 27 November. In line with the day-to-day issues facing our industry, the themes of the event relate to government regulation, security and operational challenges. There will be more than 80 expert speakers across the four days of conference sessions. The first two days will focus on 'big picture' presentations on key industry wide issues. Day one includes topics such as meeting the needs of customers - both passengers and airlines, airports and future communication technology, finance models for airport ownership, links with the aerospace sector and managing human capital on airports. Day two has a strong focus on our regulators and government with presentations by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Office of Transport Security, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, the Australian Federal Police, Customs and Border Protection and Airservices Australia. In line with hot industry issues, a large part of day two also focusses on security issues.
