DELTA'S REFINED WAYS

With its recent purchase of a shuttered Pennsylvania oil refinery from Phillips 66/ConocoPhillips, Delta Air Lines (DL) adds a key element to its strategic fuel management system. In June, DL closed on its $180 million purchase of the so-called Trainer refinery and expects initial startup to occur in mid-September. Pennsylvania supported the purchase with a $30 million grant for job creation and infrastructure improvement.
