New Colours for Air Malta

Airbus A320-214 9H-ABN (c 2665, ex F-WWBN) of Air Malta is the first to appear in the flag carrier's new scheme. The airliner is seen here departing Budapest Airport in Hungary on October 5. Air Malta announced the adoption of the new colours on July 31 as part of a rebranding exercise (see New Look Air Malta, September, p35). The airliner made its debut in the new colours at the 2012 Malta International Airshow on September 29, arriving at the event directly from the paint shop as flight KM070, the code being chosen to mark the 70th anniversary of the George Cross award to the island.
