Danish Fennecs Go Grey

The Flyvevabnet (Royal Danish Air Force, RDAF) has begun repainting its Eurocopter AS550C2 Fennec helicopters in a new green-grey scheme, replacing the green and black camouflage worn since the fleet entered service (initially with the army) in August 1990. Seen here at Karup wearing the new colour is P-254 (c 2254), while P-275 (c 2275) in the background still has the old colours. A total of 12 AS550C2s were delivered, being transferred to the RDAF in 2003. Four configured for the anti-tank role were withdrawn in 2009. The fleet is assigned to Eskadrille 724.
