UAVs Tested by Russian Army

Russia's Land Forces Commander-in-Chief, Colonel General Vladimir Chirkin, recently acknowledged that his service has been testing and evaluating a number of tactical unmanned air vehicles (UAV). Among them are the Eleron-10, with radius of action of around 13nm (24km) and the Eleron-3 (up to 27nm/50km), both produced by Enix of Kazan. Other indigenous systems being prepared for testing and evaluation by the Army, include the Tahion, produced by Izhmash (with radius of up to 22nm/40km) and the ZALA 421-08, produced by ZALA-AERO,with a radius of 8nm (15km). The most promising UAV system for army use, the Special Technology Centre 0rlan-10 (with a radius of 65nm/120km) has already undergone testing and evaluation and is believed to have been recommended for entry into service.
