France Receives FOC NH90 Caiman TTH

The Aviation Legere de L'Armee de Terre (ALAT, French Army Light Aviation) has received its first NHIndustries NH90 Caiman Tactical Transport Helicopter (TTH) in the Final Operational Configuration (FOC). The delivery, which occurred on January 30 at Eurocopter's factory in Marignane near Marseilles, follows the qualification of the aircraft in November 2011 by the NATO Helicopter Management Agency, the body responsible for managing the NH90 programme on behalf of Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal (see NH90TTH Compliance Declaration, December 2011, p50).
