Eastern Express, the new United Arab Emirates-based scheduled airline, has delayed the start of its operations. The carrier, based in the emirate of Fujairah, was due to commence services in January but paperwork issues have delayed it until later in the first quarter of 2012. The airline will operate scheduled services to Abu Dhabi using a British Aerospace Jetstream 41, just 30 minutes flying time away, and aims to offer a quicker method of transport between the two emirates for business travellers and tourists.
