AS350s to be Assembled in US

Starting next year Eurocopter will upgrade its American Eurocopter plant in Columbus, Mississippi, to become a final assembly and test centre for AS350 Ecureuils (marketed as the Astar in North America). The facility is scheduled to start production in the fourth quarter of 2014, with further expansion in 2015, and is expected to produce up to 60 additional helicopters annually by 2016.
