SSJ100 Marketed to South Africa

The Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company is marketing the Superjet 100 (SSJ100) airliner to South Africa as part of an effort to increase civil and military aerospace sector co-operation between the two countries. Any potential sale, however, is understood to be conditional on the successful operation of the SSJ100 by the Mexican airline, Interjet. Also being marketed in South Africa is the Russian Irkut MS-21 airliner, which is scheduled to enter production in 2017.
