During March 2013 BAE Systems delivered two second-hand BAe 146-200QC (Quick Change) aircraft to the Royal Air Force's No.32 (The Royal) Squadron at RAF Northolt, west of London. The arrival into RAF service of these aircraft, both formerly based in Belgium as part of TNT Airways and now known as C3s following modification, is the result of an Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR) made by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) in December 2011 for a new flexible transport aircraft to support the UK's Operation Herrick in Afghanistan.
