C-130J Hercules Delivered to Tunisia

Tunisia became the first African country to receive Lockheed Martin's new-generation C-130J Super Hercules when it took delivery of its first (Z21121/ TS-MTK, c 5718) on April 4 from the manufacturer at Marietta, Georgia. The north African nation ordered two stretched C-130J-30s in February 2010, together with a three-year logistics support package (see Tunisia Orders C-130J Hercules, April 2010, p15). The first made its maiden flight on February 12 and the second will be delivered later this year. Included in the package are two Modular Airborne Fire Fighting Systems (MAFFSs).
