Seven years after the Royal Danish Air Force's (RDAF's) Eskadrille 722 at Karup AB received its first AgustaWestland AW101 Mk512 Merlin helicopters, the unit deployed two of its Tactical Troop Transport (TTT) variant to Netheravon Airfield, Wiltshire, for ten days to participate in Exercise Pashtun Jaguar '1/13' (February 11 to March 3, 2013) - the UK's latest Afghanistan pre-deployment Mission Rehearsal Exercise (MRX) on Salisbury Plain. The two Merlins arrived at Netheravon on February 22 following a five-hour journey from Karup via a fuel stop at Gilze-Rijen AB in the Netherlands. Their support team, including around 30 mechanics and logistic support personnel, arrived by coach.
