EASA Approves New Falcons 2000s

Dassault is preparing to start deliveries of the two newest members of its Falcon 2000 range following receipt of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification on March 11. The Falcon 2000S, which was announced at the 2011 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland, as a successor to the Falcon 2000DX, will begin to reach customers in the second quarter of this year. Intended to compete with other super-midsize business jets, such as the Bombardier Challenger 300 and Gulfstream G280, it features high-Mach blended winglets and new-generation Pratt & Whitney PW308C turbofans with lower emissions. The 2000S also has a new BMW Group DesignworksUSA interior and a redesigned cockpit with Dassault's EASy Ⅱ flight deck. It can fly six passengers 3,350nm (6,204km) while cruising at Mach 0.8.
