Flight testing of the first of the second batch of Lockheed Martin F-16C/D Block 50 Fighting Falcons for the Royal Air Force of Oman is under way. The first aircraft (single-seater 830) completed its maiden flight on January 14 at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas. Oman has ten F-16Cs and two F-16Ds on order under a Foreign Military Sales programme signed with the manufacturer on December 14, 2011 (see Additional Fighting Falcons for Oman, February 2012, p24). Deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of this year and continue to the end of November 2016.
