Atr announced on February 2 at a press conference in Paris that it recorded an improved performance in 2004, with a turnover of £289.5 million ($543 million) compared to £213 million ($400 million) for the previous year. ATR's CEO, Filippo Bagnato, said that a difficult 2003 had been followed in 2004 by recovery of the market and added "Demand for new aircraft progressively increases".
