I think the UAM (urban air mobility) industry will experience major growth. These revolutionary air vehicles must be cost competitive with helicopters but they will always be a rich man's toy. Places like Los Angeles and London that suffer gridlock traffic on the motorways will be prime markets. My biggest concern is safety. None of these UAMs can autorotate like helicopters. The ones that have wings have such a high wing loading that they cannot fly with a shallow glide slope and low Vmin in case of power failure. No other types of aircraft present such catastrophic failures in these situations.
