TWO INITIAL NHIndustries NH90 helicopters for the Qatar Emiri Air Force flew just before the end of 2020. Leonardo's Venice Tessera facility was the venue for the maiden sortie by the Gulf state's first NH90 NATO Frigate Helicopter (NFH) on December 15, with the customer's NH90 Tactical Troop Transport (TTH) example flying from Airbus Helicopters' Marignane plant in France three days later. Crews evaluated general handling and conducted basic systems checks on both flights.
