MC-21 comes of age

Bussia's pledge to fly its first Irkut MC-21-310 powered by domestically built engines by the end of 2020 remains on course after the aircraft rolled off the production line recently. The first MC-21-310, 73057 (c/n 21007), fitted with Russian PD-14 engines left the production hall of the Irkut plant in Irkutsk on November 6 and was due to undergo final checks and ground tests as AIR International went to press.
