According to Rosaviatsiya (Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency), Russian airlines carried 771,000 passengers in April 2020, just a twelfth of the figure recorded a year earlie Aircraft manufacturers were affected directly and, for a few weeks at the end of March and in April, all industrial plants in Russia stopped working due to COVID-19. In the i initial period, during which the strictest restrictions were in place, only 10% of employees went to work; they were required to maintain continuous production processes. Following this, production has been gradually 'defrosted' and now the industrial plants are operating normally once again, but are taking precautionary measures. The indirect effects of the pandemic, especially the reduction in demand for new aircraft, will be felt much more severely across the entire industry.
