China's ARJ21 Rolled Out With 100 New Orders

China's first indigenously developed regional jet aircraft, the AVIC I Commercial Aircraft Company (ACAC) ARJ21-700 Xiang Feng (Flying Phoenix), was unveiled at the Shanghai Aircraft Company factory at Dachang Airport, on the northern outskirts of Shanghai, in a lavish ceremony on December 21. The 90-seat regional jet is expected to fly in March and gain certification in readiness for planned first delivery to Shandong Airlines in September 2009.
