Agustawestland and Tata Sons have signed a Memorandum of Understanding covering the formation of an Indian joint venture company to assemble AW119s in that country. The deal was signed on February 12 at Yelahanka Air Force Station outside Bangalore during the Aero India 2009 trade show. The new company will be responsible for AW119 final assembly, out-fitting and delivery to customers worldwide, while AgustaWestland will retain responsibility for worldwide marketing and sales.rnThe first example is due to be delivered from the new facility in 2011 and production is forecast to rise to 30 per year to meet demand.
