Algerian Airlines Order Boeing 737s

Air Algerie and Boeing announced the airline had ordered seven Boeing 737-800s equipped with blended winglets on November 17. The latest deal will increase the Algerian carrier's fleet of Next Generation 737s to 22, replacing older variants of the type in service.rnOn the same day a second Algerian carrier, Tassili Airlines, signed a deal for four Boeing 737-800s. The airline is a subsidiary of the Sonatrach Petroleum Corporation owned by the Algerian Government and will use the new aircraft to fly employees and cargo between cities in the country and the corporation's work sites, as well as using them on commercial domestic and regional passenger services.
