Embraer 190s For Air Astrana

The national airline of Kazakhstan, Air Astana, will receive two Embraer 190s for operation from its base at Almaty. Both airliners will be delivered to the leasing company Jetscape Inc of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, by the Brazilian manufacturer for handover to the airline. The deal was announced on November 17. The Embraer 190s will be configured with nine first class and 88 economy seats. They are due to be delivered in the first quarter of 2011. According to the airline President, Peter Foster, Air Astrana has plans to expand its Embraer 190 fleet in the future. It currently operates 21 aircraft and serves more than 50 domestic and international routes.
