KAZAKHSTAN'S NATIONAL carrier Air Astana is planning a major expansion using its new Airbus A321LRs, The carrier put the long-range version of the A321neo into service late in 2019 and announced it will put the type onto its Nur-Sultan-Heathrow route from March 2020, replacing the Boeing 757. It will also use the aircraft to serve a new link from the Kazakh city of Almaty to Paris from June. Air Astana is to receive seven A321LRs over the next three months via the lessor Air Lease Corporation. The jets have 16 business class and 150 economy seats.
