Firefighting Black Hawks

In July, Sikorsky Australia released details of its AUD $63 million contract with StarFlight Australia for the refurbishment of an initial batch of ten former US Army UH-60A Black Hawk medium-lift helicopters for the civil market. StarFlight intends to use the aircraft for bushfire fighting and disaster relief operations around Australia and New Zealand from 2018 and the company holds options on a further ten Black Hawks.
