Air Force Materiel Command is risking the future of aircraft sustainment by centralizing management of its three air logistics centers to a single base, warned Rep. Robert Bishop (R-Utah).Under a cost-cutting plan announced in November, command officials want to consolidate management of the Air Force's air logistics centers where various aircraft fleets cycle through intensive scheduled maintenance.Oklahoma City ALC at Tinker AFB, Okla., Ogden ALC at Hill AFB, Utah, and Warner Robins ALC at Robins AFB, Ga., would be overseen by a new Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker.
