Airman Development-a Top Priority

Training and developing airmen to be the best professionals must continue as a top Air Force priority despite today's austere economic environment, senior leaders stressed at the Air Force Association's Air & Space Conference in September. Gen. Edward A. Rice Jr., commander of Air Education and Training Command, said the looming contraction of the force requires USAF to consider switching from specialized pilot training back to a generalized training program.
