I met Wendy Fish a few years ago at Dover AFB, Del., during a visit to the Air Force Mortuary AffairsOperations and theCenterforthe Families of the Fallen. She was co-founder and vice president of the Friends of the Fallen organization at the time. Her spouse is CMSgt. David A. Fish, a services career field manager, stationed at the Pentagon. Since 2010, Wendy has supported military members and their families, especially during their toughest times, with survivor support and care, including establishing the USO's Families of the Fallen Support initiative and managing the Peer Mentor Program forTAPS.theTragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.
