Dispersion of axisymmetric elastic waves in thick-walled orthotropic pipes

Aethod for studying harmonic wave propagation in thick orthotropic cylinders of infinite length was presented by markus and mead. Displacements were modeled by trigonometric functions and Frobenius power series. Harmonic wave propagation in shells and rods of infinite length ass studied by mazuch. Rela- tions for a finite element model were derived for general anisotropy of a linearly elastic material.
