摘要

Experimental measurements of the optical aberration created by a forced compressible shear layer have been made using the emitted light from a laser-induced breakdown (LIB) spark. The precision error of the phase-lock-averaged measurements indicate that the phase of the shear-layer aberrations can be determined with sufficient accuracy to add only a very small additional error to a feedforward adaptive-optic correction that is synchronized using the LIB measurements.
