The champagne corks popped for Total in Algeria during the holiday season. The group was awarded the highly coveted Ahnet gas permit while its development plan for Timimoun was confirmed.rnAfter an auction lasting for over a year,Total and the family-owned Partex group were awarded the Ahnet gas concession in south-west Algeria on December 22. No less than 12 gas structures discovered on the concession are thought to house 500 billion cu.m. of gas.
