After expanding into West Africa, Nigerian junior Pelfaco has turned its eyes to the shores of the Indian Ocean. In late 2017, the company registered a subsidiary in Maputo under the name of Pelfaco Mozambique. The Pelfaco parent company, headquartered in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, holds 60% of the new structure while its CEO Gesi Asamaowei, personally owns the remaining 40%. The Nigerian company is represented in Mozambique by lawyer Nuno Miguel Victorino from SAL & Caldeira Advogados, which specialises in creating companies for foreign investors and is well established in Maputo.
