The Dai family's ubiquitous Trust Holding turns towards Beijing

Former Mozambican defence minister Tobias Dai is one of the most well-connected members of Frelimo with China and now his son, Joaquim Dai, is making use of those networks to increase trade between Beijing and Maputo. The new offshoot of Trust Holding, Joaquim Tobias Dai's group, will be heavily geared towards trade with Beijing. Called Trust Asia-Africa, this new branch of the eldest son of former defence minister Tobias Joaquim Dai has the backing of Huabin Li, a Chinese commodities trader.
