After a few months of bad press, the Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry hired DLA Piper and David Peyman, a specialist in maritime compliance and former Trump adviser, to help boost its lobbying campaign in the US. The Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry (LISCR), already represented by US law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, whosePolicy Director is former Republican senator Ed Royce (AI, 04/03/20), is giving its team of lobbyists in Washington another boost. Early August, it hired David Peyman, Of Counsel with DLA Piper since May of this year. His mission is to help LISCR adhere to compliance regulations from the United States, the European Union and the OECD and avoid accusations of money laundering on its fleets.
