Toronto-listed Seahawk Gold Corp on April 30 signed adeal to buy three Liberian gold projects - Zwedru South,St. John River and Nuon - from Sama Resources. Miningmagnate Robert Friedland is the first shareholder inSama, which is also based in Canada. Friedland is bestknown for having discovered two giant deposits - ofcopper at Kamoa-Kakula in the DR Congo and the OyuTolgoi copper and gold mine in Mongolia via his IvanhoeMines group.
