Soguipami sent a letter last month to Winning Consortium Simandou (WCS), the company developing Blocks 1 and 2 of the Simandou iron ore deposit formerly held by Beny Steinmetz Group Resources (BSGR, Africa Intelligence, 15/02/21), to instruct it to stop its granite extraction operations at Maferinyah in southwestern Guinea as of March 16.
