French politician Rama Yade is now a lecturer at the Universite Mohammed Ⅵ Polytechnique (UM6P) founded by the Office Cherifien des Phosphates (OCP). After serving as France's junior minister for human rights and then for sports under former president Nicolas Sarkozy, followed by a short spell as the French ambassador to UNESCO, Yade has now joined the university's governance, economic and social sciences faculty as a senior fellow. She will continue to teach at the Paris institute of political studies, Sciences Po, her alma mater, and serve on theAtlantic Council. It is on behalf of this American thinktank that she took part in a late 2020 debate organised by the OCP-affiliated Policy Center for the New South, several researchers of which also work at her new faculty.
