The head of Tanzania Intelligence and Security Service (TISS), Diwani Athumani Msuya, is taking a close look at his own troops. He intends to find out who leaked the information about John Magufuli's state of health that was revealed by the late president's main opponent Tundu Lissu, in the weeks before Magafuli's death was officially announced on 17 March. Lissu, the vice president of the Chadema party, lives in exile in Brussels, where he tweets about a wide range of issues, with varying degrees of reliability. On 10 March he claimed on Twitter that TISS sources had alerted him to the state of Magufuli's health.
